March 26th is National Purple Day – Epilepsy Awareness Day. It’s a day that aims to increase the public’s knowledge of a neurological condition affecting nearly 50 million people worldwide. Here at the salon we love being involved with our community and with many non-profits to help in any way we can. We believe in the power of community, we believe in the power of love, and most importantly, on National Purple Day and every other day, we believe in the power of the color purple!
Significance of the color purple and Nirvana:
Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. This combination screamed loud and clear what we wanted to bring to our clients and what our hearts wanted Salon Nirvana 954 to be; a place of Zen, calm, and tranquility for our clients combined with the most fierce, creative and professional staff. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, creativity, wisdom, dignity, devotion, peace, independence, and magic! I guess that sums it up…this color is magic.
Purple is the color of imagination and spirituality:
Being a part of a creative industry for so many years, it has always been important to us to maintain a high spiritual connection with ourselves and with what we do. The color purple relates to the imagination and spirituality. It stimulates the imagination and inspires high ideals. It is an introspective color, allowing us to get in touch with our deeper thoughts. Purple encourages creative pursuits and seeks inspiration and originality through its creative endeavors. It likes to be unique, individual and independent, not one of the crowd.
The Color Purple in Business:
Aside from the deep spiritual connection we felt with the color purple, we also learned that it’s psychological effect in business was also very much aligned with our business goals. Physiologically, it heightens people’s sense of beauty and their reaction to more creative ideas.
It is often used to denote a high quality or superior product which is exactly what we are here to offer.
As you can see, we didn’t just randomly pick the color purple for our business because we liked it (Especially me, for those who know me, I’m a redhead and I clash with purple lol). We felt connected to this color from the very beginning and now you can see it everywhere in our salon, from our big purple wall with the Buddha mural, to our towels, our logo, and more.
So, we would like to invite you to join our purple addiction for a day. It’s National Purple Day and let’s help spread awareness for Epilepsy. Today is purple day, tomorrow is another day, keep the positivity going! Find a way to get involved with your community, help your neighbor, be kind to one another, find a way to make a difference. If you need help finding a non-profit or organization to work with, feel free to email us! We work with many local non-profits that can always benefit from help!
With love,
Salon Nirvana 954.
